So here's a question that's randomly driving me nuts and I know the internet/fandom probably has theories. Witches and wizards set off to Hogwarts (or whatever their magic school in their country of origin) at the age of 11, yes?

Uh, where do they go to school before that? Muggle born kids obviously just go to regular schools. But what about kids from magical families? You'd need a basic grounding in reading/writing/math to do well in magic subjects. Are they homeschooled, do you think? Or are there magic elementary schools that we just don't hear about?

Lalala, this is not going well so I'm just gonna spam you with random HP thoughts, okay? Okay. Thought of the moment. Despite there being many things that I actually find more devastating and more emotionally affecting, there is only one thing that turns on the physical reaction of waterworks every single time. Book or movie. Dobby. I have yet to read/see...the thing...where tears didn't happen. "A free elf" will never not cause it to rain on my face. I just misted up typing that, y'all.

It is slightly baffling to me, because as I said, there are other things that hurt more but that I can sometimes get through without crying, particularly with repeated exposure. Just...not that. Even scrubbing quickly through it requires a tissue. Every. Time.
