Merlin 2x01
Merlin! Yaaaaaaay!
Y'all know I don't require much from this show other than it be adorable, yes? Good. No deep thoughts of any kind, just happiness. Because it is back. And it is ADORABLE. And then stuff happened with things glowing and evil sorcerers and massacres (but no blood, which will never ever fail to crack me up how you can die on this show, but god forbid you bleed), and some sword swinging and magical showdowns and whatnot. What can I say, I am easily pleased.
Arthur/Merlin, slashtastic as ever. Merlin is the only one with access to Arthur in bed? A bed from which Arthur calls for Merlin while he is half naked? AWESOME. I do love the push/pull of their relationship, and the snark, and the fact that Merlin is pretty much incapable of subservience even as he serves (CLODPOLE FTW!). I am a tetch annoyed with Arthur, since I thought he'd figured out how much he needs Merlin by now...but whatever. Merlin moping and mooning after Arthur and having jealous fits was cute as hell.
Gwen/Arthur, YAY! Right up there on the adorable scale, and she pulled his ass out of harms way. TWICE. Which made me go \o/ \o/ \o/ a lot. Gwen is so freaking awesome and I love her so much. I also find that I really like Arthur when he's around Gwen. I am well pleased at the thought of more of this with the two of them, yes I am.
Gwen/Morgana...too short! But hugging! In bed! WHEEEEE. Not nearly enough Morgana or Gwen actually, together or apart I wish for there to be more soon please. And Morgana with Merlin and Arthur and Gwen with Merlin. OT4 baybeeee.
Um, I do have not 'shippy thoughts. But mostly what makes me happy is those four and the way they are with each other (LIKE PUPPIES AND RAINBOWS), so yeah. Also, dear Santa, I have been very good this year and would like some more dirtybadwrong (but HOT) Morgana/Uther in my stocking on the side plz. I will leave the discussion of plot and all that to other people.
