The last set of !!!'s was mostly for...well THE WHOLE THING AND ALL ASPECTS OF, most of which I fail at being articulate about because it involves time and theories and thinky thoughts of which I am horrible at discussing but enjoy very much. But I feel the need to clarify one thing.

I TAKE BACK EVERY RESERVATION I HAD AND NOW SHIP IT SO HARD, THE SHEER FORCE OF MY SHIPPING MAY CAUSE A TSUNAMI. I could write a novel on all the ways that particular scene was written just for me and the way in which I ship Doctor/Companion. Not to mention getting handed an OT3 on a SILVER FUCKING PLATTER (RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVER). And based on the preview for next week a possible OT4.

OMFG. She was all 'DO WANT' and he was all 'Want what...? OH! DO WA...wait, maybe a bad idea?' and she was all 'Dude, I don't want to settle down and have your time babies, I get it, now can we get on with it?' and he was all 'CONFUSED NOW...oh, thank god, the universe is ending'

And then based on the preview next week it looks like he's gonna be all 'Here! Have a Rory! Then I won't have to think about how I'm thinking about you naked! Those kids are cute together...I bet they are cute naked. OH SHIT'

As long as the show doesn't punish her for launching herself at him (which hello is totally how I start any sexual relationship), I am totally on board the love train.

But also: TIME CAN BE REWRITTEN. That is a fundamental change in the way this show handles time. It's a huge canonical shift. The implications! ::FLAIL::

What if Jack doesn't have to be immortal? What if Martha marries that nice physician like she was meant to? What if Rose doesn't have to become useless? WHAT IF DONNA DOESN'T HAVE TO GET BRAINFUCKED?

I am going on faith that she will not be punished. It would be...very weird. And kill my squee faster than anything. AND I HAVE A WHOLE LOT OF SQUEE. The direct approach, that addresses and accepts the limitations involved. MY BUTTONS, THEY ARE PUSHED.

OMG I KNOW. I am bad at this kind of theorizing and whatnot, but DEAR GOD I AM ALL AFLAIL. Also, I sincerely hope Moffat and RTD are not invited to any of the same dinner parties in the near future. Because, awkward.

(added bonus, I may actually learn to love the RTD era again because of what's going on here allows me to fall back into glorious fanwanking of the kind which fixes shit in my head, no lie)

I loved how amazed the Doctor seemed when he said "Time can be rewritten." I love seeing the Doctor be pleasantly surprised in general, but the sheer wonder in his voice...it reinforces that young/old thing Eleven has oozing from every pore. The is ancient, and he knows almost everything about time, and yet he can still be filled with wonder when it doesn't work the way he expects it to. ::happy place::
