I thought about getting the series on DVD for my mom at some point when I heard it was coming out, but the last news I saw (which was a couple of years ago now) was that it was one of several shows the network was considering doing a big shiny full box set release (rather than going season by season, presumably) and that was why they stalled out after the first season. Thinking about it now, I'm wondering whether they're trying to put together special features or actor commentaries or something? Given the success of so many cast members post-show, that would a) be a HUGE selling point for the complete series all on its own, and b) take forever.
