Well... until I was 10 or 11, I was only allowed to watch PBS, Saturday morning cartoons, and (occasionally) the Muppet show. By the time I was allowed to watch other TV, I had become a book snob and wasn't interested. So for all practical purposes my TV-watching ends with 321 Contact and then restarts in 1995 with The X-Files. (Although I did occasionally catch fragments of Cagney and Lacey, which my mom watched.)

I know, I know. renenet and I are occasionally baffled that we can even communicate across the vast lacunae in my pop culture exposure.
