Being caught up on Haven finally meant I actually watched this week's episode after it aired.

Y'all, this? THIS RIGHT HERE? Is why watching currently airing television in real time can lead to nervous breakdowns. Haven should come with health warnings or something and how in the hell am I going to wait a WHOLE WEEK? HOW?

*deep breaths*

I really, really, really love this show, you guys.

I just finished the first season.

So, you know, I need the second season kind of immediately.

IT WILL NOT HELP. Invest in smelling salts and xanax.

I am watching it very very slowly. I've had it on my netbook that I take when I travel, so it's been pretty sporadic.

You have more willpower than me. There was a tipping point (and it may have actually been the end of season 1) where I was sitting here begging my internet to magically not suck in between torrent downloads because even waiting an hour between episodes was torture.

I am pretty sure that's why I avoided starting season 3 until last week, but then Zen and I watched the first two seasons while I was there and it put me back in the OH GOD, WHAT NEXT? place again.

P.S. Husband went out of town. I am now on episode 12 of season 2.

AGH SERIOUSLY. Life was so much gentler when I could just marathon episodes! Now I am ALL PALPITATIONS.

(Plus also? Licking the screen. Everyone is being just. So. Edible.)

FOR SERIOUS. Haven is going to have a lot to answer for with the uptick in ulcers and heart attacks. And, like, how dare they give me the OT3 amazeballs of that last scene in that context. IT IS MEAN. Almost as mean as dangling the delicious Audrey/Duke in front of my face while imploding Nathan/Audrey and Audrey/Duke this season. WHY DO THEY WANT TO HURT ME LIKE THIS? WHYEEEEEEE...possibly because they know I will be falling off the edge of my seat begging for the next episode, but that's no excuse.

(god, so. edible...it's like PRETTY busting out all over the damn place everywhere)

Haha yesssss. That is basically me after every Homeland episode this season.

I am still not up for the stress of watching Homeland as it airs. That one is going to have to wait until the season is done and I can watch at my own pace (which, if last season was any indication won't be a full on marathon but when I'm ready for the next one it will be there). :D

THAT WAS A VERY STRESSFUL EPISODE.

IT REALLY, REALLY WAS.

I loooooove Haven. But I just have this petty, stupid urge, every episode, to shove Duke into a body of water and hose him down with shampoo. His greasy Snape!hair just bugs me. I refuse to ship him with anybody until the situation improves.

*dies*

I find his lack of attention to hair hygiene kind of...charming? And his clothing...choices is too strong a word here because I am firmly convinced his 'What the fuck are you wearing, no seriously?' wardrobe decisions are a deliberate rebellion against the necessity of clothing...living somewhere he can't go half or all naked most of the time must just *kill* him.

I don't even know. It took me a long time to really warm up to Duke outside his placement in my OT3...but then somewhere around the back half of season 2 and the realization of just how manipulated he'd been all his life and how hard he was struggling against it and I just...tipped right over into a pool of independent Duke Love (maybe we could commandeer it for hair washing?) which has now reached the same irrational levels I hold for both Audrey and Nathan. Which means finding pretty much everything about him adorable.

I have no idea why I have this fixation on his hair, and yet the wardrobe doesn't bug me at all. Maybe I'm just so in love with the clothing choices for Parker - she's NEVER the sexy version of a cop. She wears sensible outfits and sensible shoes, and when she gets girly, it's for a reason.

Don't get me wrong, I love Duke's character development. First season, his swarmy-asshole-with-a-heart-of-gold shtick was a little one-dimensional, but then! He started changing and growing! And I began to enjoy his needling Nathan because Nathan can really be an uncompromising, tight-assed dick!

I'm also glad they brought in the psychologist this season, because it was getting to be a "too many dicks on the dance floor" situation.

But please, Haven - make Duke wash his hair. For me?
