Progress! Movement! The skeleton of a draft appearing on my timeline for my festivid assignment! I am panicking a little less about not being able to finish before I leave for Maryland. I continue to panic that the execution won't be all that it could be, because I want to give my recipient something they will love.
The good news, I had what I still think is a solid idea with song choice before I offered (which is why I'd already started a timeline for a treat before I got assigned it). In vidding that's half the battle, because it eliminates that time spent flailing around looking for a song or a concept to hang the vid on. Also, the source is a lot of fun and right up my alley in [redacted] ways.
I just really wish my vidding mojo wasn't on hiatus, because it makes the process a struggle even though I love the source, and festivids, and my recipient. This has been an incredibly dry year for me vidding wise and I miss it a lot. With the outlines of a vid appearing, though, I can sort of start to feel some of the excitement come back. And if I can get a full draft on the timeline in the next few days, I can spend the rest of the time between now and when I leave revising, and upload before I go with a lot more confidence. Fingers crossed!
