One of the things that attracted me to Nine was his self-doubt; one of the things that turned me off on Ten was his hubris and his unwillingness to see things he didn't want to acknowledge. It's punched all kinds of happy buttons that Eleven isn't just damaged, but knows it and is a bit worried about it.
