This is it, last 24 hours before Harry Potter is delivered and it's time to settle in and read. I don't talk about it much here, mostly on account of HP fandom scares the crap out of me, but I have adored the books ever since I started reading them to my kid five years ago when he was ten. The "reading to" part didn't last very long because we both got impatient and wanted to read ahead and started having tug of wars and stealing back and forth until it made much more sense to just start buying two copies. Why yes I am mature enough to have a knock down, drag out with a pre-teen I gave birth to over a book about wizards.

Now my kid is in high school and the last book in the series is coming out TOMORROW. Wow. Time, she does fly. Point is, I'm excited and impatient and being very, very good about avoiding all spoilers. And am trying to distract myself. I've poked at the Ten/Martha vid I'm working on some (vidding is HARD people) and played tons of Sudoku but I'm still all jittery and lack focus. Entertain me? Please? Anything will do.

Share your own "how I started reading Harry Potter" story.
Tell me some geeky adorkable fact about David Tennant (bonus points if it includes links to pictures of any godawful fashion choices).
Burble on about whatever fannish thing is obsessing you at the moment (unless it has HP spoilers)
Or just...whatever.

Please?
