So I'm working on playing my way all the way through the Metallica Guitar Hero game and I have an observation (much like that time that GH Aerosmith cemented my opinion of Steven Tyler as a skeevy motherfucker, still love the game though). Anyway, Metallica. Now, I like Metallica. They usually have really pretty bits in their songs, and then it goes all heavy duty rock out, and it's pleasing. But listening to a metric fuckton in a row...I'm just. I can't take them seriously, I just can't. That much over the top woe no matter how angrily you shout it is just...I reach at maximum minute three of any given song (which are usually five minutes long) and start busting out in giggles. Seriously, boys, when the clinically depressed chick with an anxiety disorder and cancer is telling you to lighten up a bit, perhaps there is a perspective issue. Maybe buy a puppy?
