Because I have been far too gloom and doom it's time to discuss that other matter of vital importance in the universe of Torchwood. See, greensilver and I were discussing mpreg, like ya do, which reminded me that I have sometimes wished for fic in which Jack turns up pregnant and Ianto and the Doctor have a slap down girly fight over who is the baby daddy. IT COULD TOTALLY HAPPEN. First, we have canon support that Jack can get pregnant, thank you Torchwood for being always willing to Go There. And if the stick turned blue in the time period right after he came home from from travelling with the Doctor...well, how would they know? After greensilver stopped choking and cursing my name and all my descendents to be damned for all eternity, she TOTALLY MADE IT WORSE, by pointing out that, given the timing, it is possible that there is a third option here. The Master. And Jack secretly angsting over this, given the probable traumatic nature of the conception if it's his. Poor Jack. I mean, seriously...like being a single mother isn't hard enough.

We can't just leave him like that! So, who is the baby daddy? You tell me. I think he's better off if it's Ianto, and that's not just crazy 'shipper talk. It's just that Ianto isn't likely to do a runner on him and he's not evil. I bet he even knows how to knit booties. But given the way Jack's life goes, it's probably the Master's.
