Lalalala Once a Thief again. Mostly me being frustrated, because much as I enjoy the slashiness of Mac/Vic (and I really DO) I am finding it literally impossible to roll with it outside the context of the OT3...which means wallowing in what little fannish content there is available out there is mostly unsatisfying. This is a personal issue, I know, and I don't begrudge the joy of boyslash only for those who do not share my issues...but I just can't :(
I suppose I can sort of see it being plausible that Victor could move on from Li Ann (though not likely), but Mac? No way. Just...no. And if you put Mac and Vic together...well, just, so much of who they are together and to each other is defined by who Li Ann is to them that it all just falls apart in my head if she's not with them. Weirdly, I do not have an issue with the idea of any of the three of them finding individual partners outside that trio, though I kinda wish Mac wouldn't if only because I'm pretty sure all Li Ann would have to do is say 'jump' and he'd drop whoever he was with so fast their head would spin and that would not be a nice thing to do to someone, even if she never said 'jump'. But within that trio? No. Either they are all together, on their way to all being together (and I am totes cool with the kind of angsty confusion and misunderstandings of 'on the way to' that may ensue), or none of them are. No halvsies. I am equally incapable of dealing with Li Ann/Mac without Victor or Victor/Li Ann without Mac too, but given what's out there this is not exactly an issue that has come up.
I get that this is probably stubbornly irrational of me, but there it is. Shipping is hard you guys.
