So, I know if someone I knew had a bilateral mastectomy I'd be curious as hell about what it actually looks like. This post is for you who might be wondering. Behind the cut, a picture of the boobless chest of me. There is still some swelling, bruising, and scabbing, plus a fold of skin at one end of the incision on the left that drives me sort of nuts, but is getting better as everything settles in (if I do end up doing a scar revision later, it'll be to smooth that out). Also, bonus if you were curious about the port, the lump with the scar above towards the upper right shoulder, that's the port.
It's not pretty, in case you were banking on some sort of ultra cool looking sexay scarring you won't find that here. If you are easily disturbed and choose not to look, or look and only think 'wow, that's pretty hideous' I will not be bothered. It is kinda hideous. For me, it is also life, and so I have a fondness for this newly deformed chest of mine.
edited to unlock, because what the hell, I actually don't care who sees it.
