Chemo today, and the less said about that the better since the pharmacy was having issues so there was an over five hour wait before the even started the pre-meds. I have all of Lost on the laptop so
vagabondage and I spent quality time marathoning while we waited, but seriously. I am not looking forward to the next few days as it kicks in.
What does not suck is Star Trek. I have now seen it three times, once in IMAX, and I can't remember the last time I saw a movie that many times while it was still in the theater. I haven't really posted about it yet because I've been in a private bubble of total squee. I have never really been fannish about TOS because it existed in this nostalgic haze of childhood, and the thing is...I forgot. I can't believe I forgot, but I did. I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LOVE MCCOY. The movie brought it back hard core, and as soon as I started rewatching TOS (which I did the day after I saw the movie the first time), I started remembering. Remembering that my wee little 8 year old self sitting cross legged on the living room floor watching the re-runs...little Eunice LOVED MCCOY SO MUCH. If I had access to capslock at that age I so totally would have used them. And now it's back. New version, old version...whatever, BONES!!!
And now I keep thinking about how awesome it would be if he'd show up and wave the thingamabopper that goes beep and bloop and it fixed me, and he could be all irritated and grumpy about barbaric treatments and stomp around glaring at 21st century medicine, because he's a doctor. McCoy could make this all better. *clings to him*
