OMG YAY!! The Boy's grades are in for the first reporting period and I am aglow with pride. The Bs in Chemistry and Algebra are down to failure to turn in all homework, what's funny are these are the two *easiest* classes for him, which means he slacks off more in them, but getting so close to straight A's has remotivated him *and* he's going to be transferring into Honors for both classes, which should help with the bored slacker routine. And OMG a B in an AP class? AWESOMESAUCE. Was it really just a few years ago that I was crying on y'all's shoulders over his refusal to do any of his work and all the D's and bad behavior reports and nonsense and thinking he was never going to pull it together enough to get through school? And now he's transferring into Honors classes, and rocking AP classes, and is only fractions of points away from straight A's. My kid, people. Aw, yeah.
