Huh, it is the 4th of July. Totally missed that one. I was too busy celebrating Day Before Who Day. I should probably be more concerned that I tend to not know what day it is at any given time. OMG IS IT TOMORROW YET?!?! *hyperventilates*

jarrow showed me the first season. The thing is, I can't decide if I actually like it as much as I think I do, or if my newly discovered overwhelming lust for Mary-Louise Parker is clouding my judgement. Sometimes I have to rewind because she does that thing with the straw in the ever present cup of iced coffee and I find that I've missed the actual content of entire scenes just staring. The thing is, aside from the youngest son, who is absolutely adorable in his completely screwed up way, I'm not sure I like any of these people all that much. They amuse me in a horrified, train-wreck sort of way where I'm laughing at, not with them. I think that may actually be the point? I'm entertained. I've managed to get through nearly two seasons in less than three days, so obviously there's something there, and I'm pretty sure not even the knee-buckling OMGWANT Mary-Louis Parker inspires is enough to do that. Or maybe I really am that shallow. I really can't decide if there's enough heart with the cynicsm for me to claim it as one of mine when it comes to shows. Maybe I should try to vid it. That usually clarifies.
