I fail at my attempts of keeping up with LJ so if things have happened please tell! Or just let me know what you're up to?

vagabondage came over and we went for a walk in the actual outdoors. Turns out I have an entrance to the forest preserve trail right behind my building. Who knew? I think I need a bike to ride on it, though walking is quite lovely. And then I actually made it to brunch on Sunday, followed by seeing Fast and Furious, which was pretty much gay porn in exploding cars, I APPROVE. Yesterday was the dentist where I discovered that I shockingly do not have cavities. My gums and enamel are a mess and will require a super duper cleaning to occur tomorrow, but no fillings. Then it was off to the surgeon to receive pleased looks at how well I'm healing.
Today was more surgery to install the port for chemo, but it was day surgery and I was allowed to go home within an hour of leaving the recovery room. It doesn't feel great, but an icepack and some painkillers and I'm doing okay. The idea of not having to deal with nurses trying to find veins anymore is exciting. I can tell that it probably won't even be painful in a few days. Just a round lump where it is, and a new scar. I'm now up to six scars on my chest, which I think gets me total badass status and the ability to win most scar showing off contests.
Tomorrow the dentist thing in the afternoon, and a MUGA scan to check if my heart is up to the chemo in the morning. Then I am free as a bird until I meet with my oncologist on Monday morning, where I assume chemo will be starting shortly after we settle on a protocol. So there's my update.
