Still mostly on an LJ break, but I need to post this because I pretty much *have* to deal with it from some family members, and if I'm not related to you, I don't have the emotional energy to have you in my life if:

You do not believe that human beings have an absolute *right* (yes, I said RIGHT, and I meant an unqualified *basic human right*) to medical care. If you do not think it absolutely unacceptable that any person should die or be sick when there are treatments available, or because treatment was delayed because they couldn't afford basic care to begin with, then I don't want you in my life. At all.

Disagreements about how we get there, fine, but if that is not your *starting* point, then fuck you.
