Well, okay. I knew there would be random new house issues, but I was not expecting this one. So, I've thought it strange that the floor heating in my bedroom didn't seem to be working right. I knew it worked because there would be times the floor tiles would heat up, but it didn't seem to have any relation to when I turned up my thermostat.
I started to put together a pattern, though. When the heat was on in the guest house it would. Or, randomly the heat would *not* be on in the guest house, yet when I went over there it would be toasty warm and my bedroom would be cold. Which led to the experiment that confirmed it. Whoever installed the thermostats got the wiring mixed up. If you turn on the heat in my bedroom? It turns on the heat in the guest house instead and vice versa.
As glitches go, this one cracks me up more than anything. I'm not sure how difficult it is to fix, but even if it's not fixable it isn't a big deal. I just have to ask whoever is staying over there what temperature they want it at and set it from my room. It's just so randomly bizzare that mostly it's making me giggle a lot.
