Today's post (and there are still a bunch of days at the end of the month still open so go grab!) is for
sdwolfpup, Three movies you will always watch if you find them while channel surfing
I was really struggling with this and I couldn't figure out why, but then I realized. I don't actually channel surf anymore. Or, more accurately...when I do it is strictly things like the Food Network and HGTV and such. When it comes to movies (and television shows), I either own them, DVR things I know I want to watch, stream on the internet when I have decent speeds, or *ahem*. It has so completely changed the way television works in my house that I can't even remember the last time I turned on the tv and just started flipping through channels.
Unless this is just a top three favorite movies in general question? Which, is not much better for me. Because I watch a lot of movies. And I love a lot of movies. And I own a lot of movies. But I don't think I have favorites as such. Which movies I rewatch and when depends entirely on my mood. Is today a day for high body counts and violence, super sappy romcom, spaceships, drama, etc? And within whatever genre, am I in the mood for a particular actor? Cheese and low production value that makes me happy anyway? Actual qualitatively good film? The answers to these questions and more is what ends up narrowing down a very, very long list that varies wildly day to day or even on the same day.
So I end up not even having a clue how to answer. I guess 'whatever strikes my fancy at the moment' is the best I can do?
