There. Got some actual vidding done today. Okay, sure it was supposed to be my Premieres vid...and yeah, I haven't actually touched the last three vids for the Eleventy Project yet. But it is a start! I have finally learned my lesson well enough that when I hit the no vid zone for whatever reason I no longer go straight to the, "AND I WILL NEVER VID AGAIN" place. Is still frustrating though.

Not sure how I feel about this vid. It is certainly cathartic to drag your childhood fears out from under the bed and introduce them to your grown up fears for a playdate. But, I'm kind of out of the edge of my comfort zone in terms of the vids I usually make. Which is maybe why I sabotaged the chances of getting this to Vividcon in the first place. Doing something new which reveals parts of you that you don't ordinarily share anyway is scary enough, much less doing it in front of an audience of over a hundred people.

On the downside, sending a vid to Vividcon means being sure people will actually watch it even if you are using horror movies from the 80's as therapy. There are advantages to a built in audience. *shrug*

See icon. :D

And I don't know what's in the air this week, but I started a new vid last night after opening Premiere intending to work on something else entirely. Apparently I need to process stuff! Who knew?

I totally hear you about how scary it is to put a really personal (or personally important) vid out there at VividCon. And at the same time I always have this sense that I shouldn't "waste" that captive audience on a fluffy vid or one that I'm less personally invested in... which, assuming I'm not alone in that, maybe explains why Premieres has been so freaking HEAVY some years.

In conclusion: Yay vidding! Yay YOU vidding! ♥
