My festivid is still not done which is freaking me out and I have an ugly cold which means I'm spending the vast majority of the time in which my kid and various family members are holiday visiting curled up under a blanket draining large quantities of snot.
So I am now going to bore you with a random Law and Order meta question. Because I freaking love Law and Order in all its forms, in no small part because at any time on any day it is inevitable that a L&O marathon will be playing somewhere on the television and this simple fact soothes me.
Anyway, this is the thing I don't get. Over on Criminal Intent I understand why Eames (and to a lesser extent everyone else) is willing to babysit and cover for Bobby because he might be a complete and total fucking whackjob...but he's also brilliant and efficient. But when we scoot over to the SVU part of the universe I find myself utterly baffled that anyone puts up with Elliot at all, much less the epic levels of handholding, excuses, and covering for that everyone seems to do for him, especially Olivia. More often than not his tantrums impede investigation, put everyone at risk, and provide more of an ugly spotlight on his own personal (and many) neuroses than any kind of insight into criminal motivation that might be, I dunno, useful. He's primarily liability with very little in the asset column. So WTF?
And now I will randomly inform you that the Finn/Munch partnership is one of my favoritest things on television ever, which has nothing to do with my post but must be said. And yeah, I do ship it hard.

OMG there so does need to be a Finn/Munch vid. I actually have a list of L&O (various franchises) vid ideas that tend to get shoved to the back burner for things I am more fannish about, even though watching large quantities of L&O is a favorite hobby.
Hrm. Maybe I should make some of them. Well, if I can get my festivid done. *panics*

There are actually episodes where they get a new DA- because all of the old one's convictions were overturned because E&O had totally gotten evidence illegally.
And just WAIT till you meet Olivia's FBI girlfriend, with explosions, hilarity, and White Supremacists.
