OMG, how much fun was that? Pure cracky goodness, yes indeed. I find I have little interest in Captain John himself, except for the ways in which he highlights the team dynamics and for that purpose? He was awesome. They're all so team and adorable together. Hell, I even liked Owen here and that is a mighty feat indeed. Also, I get it now...how Torchwood is planning to alleviate my concerns about 'ship canon. They're just gonna make 'em all canon and let the rest of us sort it out? Okay, I approve then. Ianto and the mighty stopwatch, now with more eyerolling! HEE! *squeezles Ianto*. Asking out on a date scene? Yes, why yes there was some squee. Because how cute were they? Very cute, yes. Mostly I just love the way they all pulled together without Jack, and did I mention the team vibe? Because I am loving the team vibe. The biggest bounce and squee of the night came with all of them on the balcony with the guns. LOVE.
And above all? CRACK. SO MUCH CRACK. TEAM CRACK. This? This is exactly what I wanted when it appeared they were going to throw arms wide and embrace the cheesy crack. Silly fun with enough development to hand the fandom room to play on a silver platter. With explosions. Yes, this is gonna be a fun ride this season. Wheeeeeeeeee.
