This morning has sort of sucked balls, crossed fingers it gets better. The plan for today was to celebrate my birthday a day early watching Merlin and Survivor while eating cake with Zen, and waiting to hear back from my surgeon's office about the test scheduling that is supposed to happen today. That was supposed to be the only unfun part of my day, right there. Writing down the dates and times of all my scans and consultations and whatnot.
And I was supposed to get my first delivery from the meal service this morning.
The meal delivery didn't show up when they were supposed to. They kept not showing up for hours. The laptop that had the Survivor files on it is suddenly refusing to boot up. I do have Merlin on the Mac as well, so I figure I will burn at least that from there. My DVD burner on the Mac died. At this point I'm just...pissed off, I can't have one day, just ONE? So I say fuck it, and run up to Best Buy to get myself a new external burner, and I will worry about spending that money later. My GP calls while I'm in the car, wants to talk about my Hodgkin's...see, she talked to the surgeon Friday morning before the stains came back and doesn't know yet. I get the joy of explaining about the probable breast cancer that's throwing a party in my lymph nodes. While I am out, meal delivery place calls because, now four hours after they were supposed to be there, they are now at my door and wondering why I'm not there. OH FUCK YOU. Have to read the riot act over that. Come home start burning, make arrangements for them to come delivery NOW, okay? So I can try to have at least part of this day that doesn't suck. As I'm putting the meals away in the fridge? I notice that despite being assured, twice, over the phone that the mistake in my confirmation e-mail that had me on the diet portions instead of the full portions, that I would be getting what I ordered, that no...I got the diet portions.
Almost done burning. Going to head over to zen's soon I hope and at least have some Merlin and cake. Still haven't heard back about when the appointment scheduling for tests.

Clearly, I kicked puppies in a former life.
