I'm now officially past the halfway point, with 9 of the total 16 chemo treatments done, and 7 more to go. I'm not bouncing back nearly as well from the Taxol as I was when we first switched over, which sort of sucks...but whatcha gonna do? There was a bit of a scare this past few weeks, 'cause I have started having upper right abdominal pain, the worst case explanation for which was liver metastasis. Had to have more blood tests to check liver function and an ultrasound on Monday, and because my brain goes to the worst possible place I was convinced I'd seen suspicious liver spots during it. Thankfully I was actually wrong, and my oncologist called with the all clear yesterday. The gall bladder was also clear of stones and such, which would have been the non-lethal other explanation, which means that now we don't have a freaking clue what's causing it. My current guess is that it's related to just general toxic overload from the drugs, same thing that is causing massive digestive problems all over. I am entirely sick of being sick. Bleh.
