Lalala killing time until it's time to go for the MRI in a few hours. I think I will rant about parking while I do. See, the oncology pavilion at the hospital has it's own little parking lot. And if you should happen to miss the big sign at the turn in, each spot in that lot is helpfully marked with yet more signage. There are only about twenty spaces. Only some days every single one of the parking spaces is full. I have come to notice that this does not correlate with more patients in the oncology pavilion, sometimes the waiting rooms are practically empty. It does, however, correlate with the times the emergency room lot right next door is really full.

Which, okay, look...I get it, whatever has brought you to the ER is stressful and no one really wants to be here. You're probably not thinking straight on account of little Jimmy shoving a gumball up his nose or whatever. You know what else is stressful? Cancer. Get the fuck out of my parking spot. I earned it.

When I head over to physical therapy after radiation, I move my car over to the physical therapy parking lot. And when I head back over to the hospital in an hour I will park in the appropriate lot for the main building. Not in the oncology pavilion lot or the ER lot because I am aware that the people going to these places need those parking spots. On account of I'm not an asshole.

Why no, I'm not channeling my rage into petty annoyances in order to avoid panicking over scary tests, why do you ask? Parking is serious business.
