Lalala...waiting patiently for a torrent to show up. And by patiently, I mean refreshing every three seconds and calling all you British people nasty names in a jealous fit. Do not question my ability to turn into a two year old throwing a tantrum when I have to wait.

Help distract me f'list/dreamroll! Lets ponder a question I have based on The Eleventh Hour. Going behind the cut for those who still haven't seen it (WHY HAVEN'T YOU, OMG, *POINTS AND FLAILS*)

Right, so one of the things I love best about Eleven and the set up for this season is the way he's been positioned as the Defender of Children. I imagine a wee kid watching at home who is sad or angry or feeling lost and how that must feel to have the Doctor explicitly standing up for them and my heart grows three sizes.

It helps that Matt Smith is weirdly good at being old...no...ancient. Anyway, not my actual point and question...but it is this that...well...I love grown up Amy a lot, a LOT. But, omg I also can totally see the adventures of Eleven and Wee!Amy in spaaaaaaaaaace, and if he'd come back while she was still 7 years old and sitting hopefully on her suitcase I would have done \o/ \o/ a lot.

And then the part where I am a parent kicks in and I think, 'Oh god, tiny child on the TARDIS is NOT RESPONSIBLE' And then I argue with myself about how the Doctor was a parent, after all, and is perfectly capable of taking care of a child. And myself responds about have I seen the kind of trouble he gets into, and really.

So what do you all think? Children as companion? Not adolescents, but actual tiny ones?
