I <3 firefighters. It looks like the plan they have to keep Woodland Park from burning down is solid as hell. I suspect they will keep the evacuations in plan until the fire hits the line and they can be sure it will hold, but I think it will.
Anyway, in other news I still go under the knife on the 3d (assuming nothing else blows up on the south end of the fire). My mom gets in on Saturday, so she can be here for it, because I am a giant baby who wants her mommy post-surgery.
Today I will be working frantically to get my VVC premiere ready for upload. The vid itself is actually finished. The issue is that Homeland will not be released to DVD until August (because they suck), and so if I don't want the vid to look crappy on the big screen I need to recut it with .mkv. Which is a giant pain to work with.
On the upside, the combination of surgery and fire means my usual Vividcon vid angst is greatly reduced. And Damian Lewis and Claire Danes are still freaking amazing.
