I'm calling this provisionally good news! At least I'm breathing out again. Had my appointment with my GP today and I am almost certainly dealing with bursitis and not scary badness. He pushed on a spot that made me yelp, and while I am generally not a fan of people pressing on things and making them hurt more, I am a fan when the results are a medical professional being like "Oh, yeah, totes bursitis"
This was followed by an injection of steroids into the bursa, and I am told that once it stops being sore from that (and what's up with the solution to 'ow, ow, that hurts' being 'so let me stick a needle in it) it should help clear things up over the next few days. He says that if the injection doesn't help or it doesn't clear up by my appointment with the oncologist on the 7th, I should talk to him about a bone scan for safesies, but he does not think it is a reason to be worried or that I should stress over it even then, because the location, onset, and type of pain is so classically bursitis. Imma run with that. GO TEAM BURSITIS!!
In other good news, I has a Celli for the weekend on account of she was in Denver to geek out about tax things with other tax people and they let me have her when they were done with talking about how sexy exemptions are or something. We did try to go up to my house, but then it turns out that when you live at 9,000 feet sometimes your friends end up in urgent care with altitude sickness while you are getting your hip poked with needles. So that lasted 24 hours and we are now back in Denver where she can...y'know...breathe. I suspect this weekend will be far more entertaining in a cushy hotel room anyway :)
