Okay, so over on the new vid forum, I promised I would try and do some video screencast tutorials that covered the basics of editing in Premiere. Before I got to that, I realized that since I work primarily with avisynth files, it was probably better to show how I prep my source first.

So I made my very first screencast on how to prep and create an .avs file using downloaded .avi source! The process is a bit different for DVD ripped .vob files so that will be my next screencast. I'm using AVsP to edit my script here, which you can get along with avisynth in the AMVAPP

You can watch the screencast streaming at vimeo here: http://vimeo.com/32382491 (password: avisynth)

Or you can download it here: http://fan-eunice.com/avst.avi (it is a big file)

Quick note: absolutedestiny has informed me that although what I did with AssumeFPS will work, it is actually better to use AssumeFPS("NTSC_VIDEO") for 29.97, and AssumeFPS("NTSC_FILM") for 23.976. Why? Because math. And because Ian is always right.
