Yesss...it's been so long since I sat down with the series that there are whole episodes that are almost brand new because I don't remember how they go.
But, yes, oh god JACK. Just...everyone else has ways of expressing their emotional state over the series by using their words or just getting upset (including Teal'c though his method of expression is generally more stoic). Jack just...shuts down, and it's devastating. Except when he explodes, which is also devastating because it's not even cathartic most of the time. It's more like a release valve being hit briefly until he can manage to lock it down again.
