Happy almost 2013, y'all. I wasn't going to do any sort of year end vid wrap up, but what the hey. Both my mother and my kid crashed before 10 pm, so I'm rocking the New Year by my lonesome and have to fill the time somehow. :) Are we counting last year's festivids since they didn't go live until 2012? God I hope so, otherwise my output is...sad, so I'm gonna include them.

Vids in 2012:

Head Full of Doubt/Road Full of Promise (Stand By Me)
Shine (Thelma and Louise)
Poor, Poor, Pitiful Me (Mythbusters)
Bad Moon Rising (Beetlejuice)
Bad Karma (Legend of Billie Jean)
When My Boy Walks Down the Street (Ferris Bueller's Day Off)
Love Hurts (Haven)
Hoping Machine (Harry Potter)
Barton Hollow (Homeland)

My favorite vid this year (of my own): Barton Hollow, hands down. I had a lot of feelings about Homeland, and in the end the vid I ended up with was the one I wanted to make and see.

Least favorite: You know, looking at the list...I'm actually pretty happy with all of them. I don't know how that happened, but I am.

Most successful vid: Hoping Machine, bless you Harry Potter fandom for keeping the flame going :) I ain't even used to getting more than a few comments on vids anymore so it was a delightful surprise.

Vid most underappreciated by the universe: Huh, more than half of the vids I made this year were made specifically for other people who were absolutely lovely in their appreciation and I got some incredible feedback in general this year, so once again I'm left with absolutely nothing to complain about. <3 <3

Most fun: Love Hurts, OMG. The 24 hours I was making that vid I was alternating between laughing so hard I was nearly crying, and actually crying because HIS FACE. Everything about that vid and the madcap way it was made and my own reactions to it was an absolutely ridiculous joyride. It would have been Buster's tale of woe, but even the tragic tale of a crash test dummy can't win out over that moment when you vid Nathan Wuornos stabbing himself with a plastic fork.

Sexiest moment: Er. Um. *stares at list of vids* I didn't exactly bring sexy back this year in my choices. Unless you count Kari dancing with Buster. Pass?

Biggest Vid Fail: The vids that are not on this list. Namely, the auction vids I still owe people :( :( I still don't even know what happened (and is still happening there). I froze. I cchoked. I still have hopes of fulfilling those obligations because the guilt, it is mighty.

Hardest to make: Barton Hollow. It's very different than what I usually do, and it was both emotionally draining and technically challenging to make. I was flat out, pee my pants, terrified of making this vid. But I had FEELINGS. I had things to say and feelings and I had to. And in the end I came away with a vid I'm really proud of, so it was worth it.

Most unintentionally telling vid: I am an open book. Sure, a lot of these are quite telling but not in any way that I haven't made multiple capslocked posts in which I explain to you all of my FEELINGS in great detail over multiple posts. I mean, maybe I'm wrong, and I've unintentionally signalled something about myself in these vids you and I did not know about me, tell me if I did!

2013: To break this block that has been holding me back for most of this year. I have so many vids I want to make. I have some hope that getting a Festivid done has broken that block, but that remains to be seen for when I get home.
