Seriously, HGTV is my default channel setting, because my son watches TV as well, and I can count on HGTV to not broadcast creepy horror movies during his viewing hours (thanks for nothing, SyFylis!) or other I'd-rather-nots. Plus, he now has opinions about home improvement and decorating. Plus, I love all the renovation porn shows.
But yeah, I totally hear you, as I almost never channel surf either. I'm there to watch shows on the DVR, Bluray, or other media.
