Okay, so two things I said would prompt me to start shifting to Dreamwidth...a critical mass of friends moving over, and LJ pissing me off. The first has started to happen and the second occurred with the ridiculous delays and whatnot at LJ today. So, as of today I am going to start crossposting from DW.

What this means for you? ABSOLUTELY NOTHING if you don't want it to. Comments will be open in both places and I'll be crossposting everything for the foreseeable future. Keep me friended/accessed from wherever you like, comment where you want, it's your world...I just squee here.

If your primary home is DW and you are crossposting, it would be awesome if you could drop me a note so I can adjust my LJ reading list and add you on DW so I'm not reading duplicates. I'm actually so far behind on LJ at this point that I probably don't know if you've moved. I find this whole thing confusing as fuck, so it's going to take me awhile to settle in.

I hate change. I hate not being able to read my people and LJ going down more. So, crossposting and reading both for now. I'll figure the rest out as I go.

I've been cross-posting from DW for some time now, but all my favorite comms don't seem to have equivalents here, so I still mostly live at LJ. I was wondering if you could help me with something, though... I see you and many others have signatures on your LJ cross posts saying where on DW to comment. How do you set it up to do that? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

\o/ I shall adjust accordingly. Not sure if I'm going to set up filters or defriend people yet over on the eljay, since I like following comments and they aren't centralized in a lot of cases. I'm still a bit confused, but I figure I'll get the hang of this as I go.

The porting thing is pretty easy. Just a few clicks and it does it all for you. Though it wouldn't bring my icons over so I had to do that manually. Fairly painless so far.

organize--->manage accounts--->other sites (tab)

then scroll down and you can change the footer and choose 'always' in the drop down and it will add it to all your crossposted posts :D
