I am not overwhelmed with squee like I have been, but that was entertaining enough for a Saturday afternoon, and I remain so desperately in love with Eleven and Amy they could pretty much read the phone book to me and I'd start making high pitched squeaky noises only dogs can hear. It's actually good to have some breathing space so I don't, y'know, explode.

I'm looking forward to seeing what I can pull out in a vid this time if only because seriously, if I can't do anything with candy colored Daleks and a space battle I need to hang up my vidder hat forever. I can see this being kind of a blast to do.

I am really excited about next week, though. I have done an episodic Weeping Angels vid before so I know that they are a metric fuckton of fun to vid. \o/

Song suggestions for this week's episode are most welcome. Even when I don't use them, having the widest variety of choices helps, as does seeing what other people hear (heh, did that make sense?). Not sure where I'm going tone wise here, either, so everything is up for grabs.

ETA: Song found. And all I'm going to say about it for now is BLAME [personal profile] sweetestdrain. What is about to happen is all her fault. Would still like to hear what you'd choose, 'cause it's interesting.

People are handwringing that Amy is allegedly unrequitedly in love with Eleven, based on that "when you fancy someone" scene? Any sign of that or is it just handwringing? (I haven't watched it yet.)

In other words, Moffat gave us genuine subtext of the old-fashioned kind and fandom has completely forgotten how to work with that sort of thing--THANK YOU THIS IS JUST WHAT I SURMISED. I absolutely love USTy subtext of the "We can't go there, but hot damn have I thought about it" kind, so good. :-D

Amy and Eleven share a... look, as she's saying that bit. It's a worrisome look.

Dear Moffat: No, please just no. Thanks. Sincerely, Nine-Tenths of Fandom.

From everything I read I doubt you're wrong. Like I said, fandom really has forgotten how to do this stuff for itself.

to be fair I'm also declaring this episode to be evidence for foeyay between the doctor and the daleks, So I may not be the best judge of these things.
