Ended up on a few episodes of Ghost Whisperer while flipping channels. Never seen it before and, y'know? I think I like it. I've never really been a fan of Jennifer Love Hewitt (hence why I've never checked it out before), but she doesn't bug me here. And I do love me some closure ghost stories. I dig the business partnership/best friends thing which is adorable, and omg what is this, two female leads? Who run a business together and talk about things that are not dudes? I dunno, I find myself intrigued enough that the next time I can actually make it into town I think I shall download a season. Also, ghosts are fun potential vidding material.
Not quite as happy making, I also ended up on an episode of 48 Hours on ID about the West Memphis Three (http://www.wm3.org/)...and every time I hear about this case it just makes me angrier. The injustice of it is so blatant that I remain boggled every time I check back and these boys are still in prison. Because, what? What?!? It is bad enough that they were convicted in the first place on rumor, inneundo, and a "confession" that does not hold up to even the bare minimum standards of credibility. That whoever did brutally murder three children is still walking around free, and likely will forever given the length of time and shit investigation. But I find it absolutely horrifying that in the face of overwhelming evidence of wrongful conviction...it continues to drag out this long. It's insane. All because some sheriff had a bug up his butt about a teenager wearing black and...could it be...SATAN. Fuuuuuck.
