I have ripped up my entire timeline and am starting over. This is less frustrating than it sounds.
It's just...have you ever been working on something and the concept is right but the execution is off? Like, what you have down isn't necessarily wrong but it isn't doing it right. And weirdly this is more difficult to climb out of than if stuff was just flat out wrong. Like, if a sequence of clips is just wrong you just swap them out and move on. Here, I kept getting tangled up in trying to force things...like that puzzle piece that looks like it should fit so you spend a half hour attempting to smash it into place. Like that. So I've been hopelessly tangled up. Clearing off the timeline entirely allows me to come in fresh, instead of tripping over 'almost' and allowing it to suck me in to the same dead end I've been smashing my head against.
Vidding is kind of a stupid and frustrating hobby, y'all.
