I went from feeling actually pretty fantastic save for some soreness to feeling like I got run over by a truck. Bah. My aftercare instructions and dr. google both inform me that this is normal while my body adjusts to relying solely on synthetic thyroid hormones (and it may take several months to get the levels just right), but it is kinda frustrating. In the meantime I am napping a lot.

Also, all my planned viewing went out the window on account of I was wandering around Netflix and realized that of the Star Treks the only one I hadn't seen yet was Voyager, so I started that and have been mainlining it from my prone position on the couch as my internet allows it to buffer (shakes fist at crappy internet). Am very much enjoying it and don't plan on stopping any time soon. About halfway through season 1 right now. If there are not about a zillion Paris/Kim slash fics on the interweb I will be so disappointed.

Also, also, I was watching Through The Wormhole with Morgan Freeman because, why wouldn't you? Morgan Freeman and science together, people. But, anyway, this episode was about the possibility of the afterlife and it was kinda cool because there was an explanation for a possible afterlife that I could sorta buy. Which, as a hardcore atheist was surprising to me. I don't know if I'm on board at all, but it is fun to think about. The thing was a theory that the process of consciousness/self relies on quantum connections in the brain, and something about quantum connections being possible over distances outside the physical body that when the body shuts down they could jump? I dunno. It was way more sciency the way it was explained, even though I suspect it is more wishful thinking than actual reality it was nifty. Did I mention Morgan Freeman?
