I am going to call that a successful morning. Grabbed a ride with my sister in law into town (and I am deeply amused that I now live in a place where 'going into town' is a thing). The important bit of that is I was able to pick up season 9 of Smallville on DVD, so I can now finish those two vids. Not that I have the bandwidth to upload them once they are done, but I will figure that out later. It has just been frustrating to have one almost done and the other about half done and not actually be able to finish them because of the CW's need to constantly splash large banners across the screen.

Also stopped by my brother's restaurant which is having its soft opening tomorrow and is starting to look really good. I have got all my fingers and toes crossed for him since this has been his dream for pretty much as long as I remember. I think it will do well since he's not only a fantastic chef, and the place itself is adorable, it is in a really good location to nab a lot of the tourist traffic that drives through on the way to various things people who actually enjoy nature do on vacation (freaks).

I get to hang out with the kids tonight while the frantic scramble to get everything put together for tomorrow goes on, and I say get to 'cause though kids are not really my thing in general, I really like these two.

Yeah, I think I will call today a good day. There is still stuff I am adjusting to and things that will be difficult in the coming months and I'm kinda overwhelmed...but I am starting to settle into the good things about this move too.

Random vidding related note. I am still trying to figure out a song for the Eleventy episode The Lodger. I am thinking something poppy and fun to match the tone and do something fluffy and light before shit gets real...but I am kind of short on ideas and I can't really go searching too much for music (stupid bandwidth issues). So if you have a song you think would be awesome for that ep, please suggest it.

Glad it was a good day!

Song suggestion: "Pulling Mussels from the Shell" by Squeeze. Lyrics here. Here's the song on YouTube if you can stream that. If not, let me know and I'll upload it for you tonight. It is fluffy and poppy and fun and light and I think a really good match for the episode.

Hurray! Good day! \o/

Song suggestions! YAY. Unfortunately I suck at poppy. I tend to avoid pop music like the plague, just because it's not generally my cup of tea. But some upbeat songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W2jTIq9Mi50 Needle in the Camel's Eye by Brian Eno (lyrics)

ALSO, I this would be a nifty song for the series finale of Who: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbUCAp0GLqU Travel in Time by Marching Band (lyrics)

I can upload any of these if you're interested or youtube doesn't work for you!

When you say fun, light, and poppy, I *immediately* think of Hairspray. I think it'd be kinda fun to do a DW vid to "Ladies' Choice". (I have the soundtrack if you need it.)
