Priorities. I do not have them. See, the power in the RV just overloaded and all the electrical outlets shut down. Was my first thought realizing that I no longer had, y'know, heat and it is Colorado in the winter? No. Did I think about this as I was digging out the manual in a high state of panic, while crying? No. Is heat what I was praying to dieties I don't even believe in about as I flipped the now uncovered breaker switch? No.

I was thinking about my (nearly finished) festivid, and how if I couldn't get the power back on I'd only have the beta draft I uploaded yesterday and I just finished making a bunch of changes and WHAT WILL I DO.

Only after the computer rebooted and I checked Premiere to see if the most recently saved draft was still viable, THEN I noticed the space heater, now merrily chugging away again and thought, oh. Right. I coulda froze to death.

I'm with you. For heat, you could have gone up to the house. For vid, there's no recourse until the power's back on.

...although I would not put it past you to have frozen to death in the RV because you were wailing over the computer praying for the power to come back on. So possibly my logic does not apply here? Except no, you found the manual and the breaker switch and totally took care of the problem, possibly INSPIRED by the need to recover the vid.

I think things worked out fine, is what I'm saying. Also, I love you. ♥

<g>, we're fans...

I walk and read everywhere I go, and a cop once yelled a blue streak at me after I walked through the "none shall pass" line at a crime scene, with the shooter still missing.

"Um? I was reading a really good part" just didn't seem to get through to him.
