Hello, Festividder and/or potential treat maker! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. I really, really do. If we have matched on any of my requests you have already won my undying affection and devotion just by showing up. From this point on I want you to feel free to follow your bliss wherever it may take you. You may feel free to throw out the details portion of my requests and not read any further than this if you've already got ideas for what you want to do. I want you to be just as happy making my vid as I will be in getting it...and as the part where I will be happy is already taken care of just by the existence of any vid you would make, this part is all about you.

If you do want some further ideas of what I was thinking when I asked for these things, feel free to read on.

Once a Thief: You need to understand that it is impossible to make me unhappy no matter what you do here. You could literally just place any scene unedited on a timeline set to music and I would start squealing in joy at pitches only heard by dogs. When it comes to shipping I am pretty hardcore OT3 about Mac/Li Ann/Vic, but I get that OT3s are hard to vid, so if you do go a pairing route my only note would be a humble request that there is no explicit 'moving on from' or 'doesn't love anymore' of the third. But really, festividder, I love EVERYONE and EVERYTHING on this show. Please do not feel limited by the main three. Would you like to vid the Director domming it up and owning everyone in sight and looking smoking hot while doing so? I WANT THAT VID. A Murphy/Camier vid about the undeniable story of two assassins in love? I WANT THAT TOO. Demonstrating in vid form how Nathan's hilarious paranoia and conspiracy theories are simultaneously both very wrong and very right? YES, PLEASE. An ode to teenage sociopathy starring Jackie and/or the Director's niece? DO WANT. Are you getting the picture here? I WANT ALL THE VIDS.

Independence Day: Y'all, Will Smith punches an alien in the face. Does life get any better than that? I'm pretty sure it doesn't. When you surround Will Smith punching an alien in the face with lots and lots of shit blowing up, you come very close to reaching my platonic ideal of a movie. It really doesn't matter how many times I see this movie, I am reduced to a giggling, flaily hands, fall off the couch wriggling with glee very happy Eunice. Who knew you could defeat an entire alien invasion with a quick virus you whip up on your laptop? Jeff Goldblum did, that's who. Who is the most earnestly likeable US president ever, complete with adorable moppet daughter? Bill Pullman, damn straight. And WILL SMITH PUNCHES AN ALIEN IN THE FACE. Welcome to Earth, motherfucker.

Top Chef: Do you find it as tragic as me that no Top Chef vids currently exist in this world? We are as one on this. When you combine the whack ass shit some of the cheftestants have got up to over the years, going all the way back to season one when Miguel ended up on his knees wearing almost nothing but a kilt and a silly hat literally kissing the leather clad ass of a hot dominatrix, combined with the badassery of flying knife skills and rushing to throw things in boiling pots...well, how could a general universe vid be anything but awesome. It couldn't be. Individual cheftestant vids? AWESOME, I AM WITH YOU. As long as you don't vid Mike Isabella, just...I hate that fucker. Leave him out. But a Carla vid would pretty much make my life, just so you know.

The Wire: Why this show doesn't have all the vids in the world I don't know. Well, yes I do...probably for the same reason I haven't made any of mine yet. It's an incredibly dense and complex universe with deeply layered characters and storylines that are hard to fit in three minutes. I admire the hell out of anyone who can tackle that, hence why I ask for it every year instead of making any vids myself. And every year I request a Bubbles vid, because I think that's what would break my heart the most, and in this case I really WANT you to hurt me Festividder. As much as I love things like alien face punching, flying knives, killer clowns, and alpaca spit fights...I also love serious, thoughtful vids that make me think and cry. And I love this show, so, so much.

Family Ties: I don't actually have many details for you, festividder. That is because the mere thought of a Family Ties vid existing in this world causes me to seize up in a paroxysm of pure 80's childhood nostalgic joy, and I can't even think straight. So much of my early adolescence was defined by me parking my wee behind in front of the television to watch this show every week. You literally cannot go wrong here. You really can't.

While You Were Sleeping: Awwwwww, Sandra Bullock. AWWWWWWWWWWWWWW. From the first time I saw it, this movie has been my go to feel good romantic comedy. There is pretty much no bad mood that cannot be cured with a pint of ice cream and this movie, of this I am certain. The only time I miss having functioning ovaries is remembering all the good times me and this movie have had curled up on the couch together in a hormonal haze. Remember when Sandra Bullock thinks she's lost not just love but the entire whacky family that goes with it and she's really sad? And then they all show up at her turnstile and PROPOSE TO HER TOGETHER? Excuse me, I'm turning into a watery, but smiley, mess up in here just thinking about it. Think sweetness! Think cuteness! Think love wrapped up in a found family! Be completely unironic and let true love find it's way and I am with you.

Homicide: Life on the Streets: See above re: The Wire and how sometimes I like it when shows are very serious and rip my heart out and stomp on it while making me think. I am a huge, huge fan of the ensemble nature of this show and in particular the early seasons. You could pick any individual character and vid them as well, and I'd love you forever. Especially if you vid Kay Howard, because goddamn was that woman AWESOME and I think she deserves a vid, don't you? They should put What Would Kay Howard Do? on bracelets. I would buy one. I would buy TEN.

Raising Hope: This was actually a last minute addition to my requests, brought on by a bored night spent surfing Netflix and going 'what is this?'. AND THEN THERE WERE HALLOWEEN HUGS. You just...have no idea how much that entire episode was made for me. I fell in love with the entire whacked out family and the people who surround them you don't even know. But, yes, Burt in particular and my god, then there is the rock star episode with the thing with the guitar? And the flirting episode? And just so much more. And then, THEN...festividder. THERE WAS AN ALPACA SPIT FIGHT. Do you understand? I'm not sure you do. I literally ran to my computer and switched out my last festivid request when the alpaca spit fight happened. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on television, and really needs to be set to music. A lot. BURT AND THE ALPACA NEED YOU.

So there you are, festividder. A brief tour of my brain, and I hope it has been useful for you. But if not? I'm really not lying when I say that what I want most of all is for you to be happy while vidding any one of these sources. Festivids is all about JOY. Have some joy! I'm in my happy place just knowing you are out there.
