As I sit here marathoning season 1 of Prison Break instead of doing...anything I'm actually supposed to be doing, I am reminded of a fundamental truth about my relationship to stories.

Basically, if you're going to start with an utterly ridiculous premise...I'm gonna need you to commit to that premise. And not just a little. I want full force complete dedication with an absolutely straight face and a willingness to ride that ridiculous over the top with a sincere effort to one up your ridiculousness at every turn. Don't blink. Don't stop to justify. Be one with your ridiculous premise, and at any moment where a rational person would start looking at you like 'what the hell are you doing?' get right up in their face all 'That's right, I just did that, and I'm about to do it again, whatcha gonna do about it? You're not going to do anything about it are you? I thought so, now back up, sit down, and buckle up 'cause this ride has only just started.'

Prison Break? GETS ME. We are as one on this particular philosophy. <3 <3 <3 <3
