I am awake! And...feeling pretty good, actually? I barely even needed ibuprofen so far today, and I haven't fallen over into a coma at any point like the previous two days.

Still kinda...post surgery, eh? But I am shocked at how bad I don't feel right now.

Also, my surgeon was too good for my scar to end up anything near epic. It will likely be a pathetic little line by Vividcon, hampering my ability to trade on it for sympathy. Perhaps I will continue the tradition of taking pictures of my fresh scars so I have evidence that at one point it did look like I had my throat slit Wesley style?

Anyway, this whole thing is totally anticlimactic so I'm gonna go freak out about my Vividcon premiere now. I managed to avoid most of my angst and panic over the vid itself (the tech bits had me in fits, though) in the midst of my angst and panic over the surgery. So now I can devote my full attention to it.

I only have a CVV premiere, but I am still freaking out that everyone will hate it. I mean, for people of a certain age it will resonate, but anyone who was not born before about 1980 will have no idea. In which case it's just a bunch of grainy 80's footage, ack.

Glad you're feeling okay! I am suffering after my op last week, because the antibiotic they gave me has stripped out all my friendly stomach bacteria and it is NOT HAPPY about that. The actual op stuff was fine though. Results all normal, which is of the good.

Vid Review is otherwise known as the time to go have a nice relaxing lunch elsewhere, or to hang out in the con suite eating snacks. Sometimes I still go, but figuring out I didn't *have* to made it much less stressful.
