Was it just me (or my Tivo) being lame or was House pre-empted by baseball last night for anyone else in Chicago? Dammit, I was actually going to talk about something that was not Doctor Who today. Instead...
Okay, I finally listened to that song for the Doctor Who xmas special and...I'm not even going to attempt to speculate who it's supposed to refer to, but can I be annoyed with it because I think it's kind of lame regardless? And though I'm not familiar with the significance of songs as used on Doctor Who, my general tv watching history suggests that music as used in general on teevee and movies almost never bears more than a passing resemblance to whatever it's being used for (and sometimes not even that). Is there a history of this being different for DW? A reason why a song off a soundtrack should be given particular speculative weight?
