The recutting has begun, and wow, let this be a lesson to you all. NEVER, EVER delete your project files and clips, even if you think you'll never finish. Burn it all off safely to a disc somewhere because otherwise you risk having to find all the clips you used and figure out how you cut them and what you might have done to them in the first place and that is tedious as hell. Especially if you have most of a timeline filled in.

You know what helps? Rose's hair. It, like, bounces in unique ways and it does it a *lot*. I've just started and I've already matched the exact frame of several clips based on the position of various strands of her hair as it goes *bounce, bounce, bounce* through a scene.

Anyway, yes, do not be stupid like me. Keep your unfinished projects in a nice safe place. If you never really do go back, then you've only lost a disc or two. And if you ever do dust it off your life will be so much easier.
