I'm having one of those days where you do nothing but read piles and piles and piles of fic, and 'cause you're still in the blush of obsessive love for a new pairing it doesn't even matter when some of it sucks. I am not yet brain addled enough to think 'Janto' sounds anything but stupid, though. Why have we not got around to killing smushed names with fire yet? J/I works just fine in a fit of laziness. Speaking of laziness, while I'm enjoying the frantic tearing through of everything I can get my hands on, there are a few of my favorite things that I either haven't found much of, or none at all, and if you, my wonderful f'list has any idea where fics of these types can be found I would be eternally grateful for links. Namely,
1. First times. I reckon most of these got written awhile back making them harder to find, curse you canon! However, since we're never told or shown the actual first time you'd think there'd be lots and lots of fill in fic somewhere. I just can't find where.
2. Aliens make them do it. You'd think this would be a gimme, given the fandom...but not so much.
3. Ianto topping Jack. Why is there hardly any of this? I can't be the only person in the universe who wants it.
4. Playful and/or snarky banter, with Jack and Ianto having fun baiting each other. Bonus points if neither has or expresses anything resembling a deep thought about their feelings. Yes, I have a soft spot for emo Ianto in all his weepy glory, but even I've got my limits. And I've about reached it.
And...well, links to any recs lists or pointers or favorite authors or stories you might have sitting around on your hard drive. How would that delicious thingie work for finding fic? I am probably the last person on earth who's never really used it.
