It is official! There is a diploma and everything. I was pretty sure I wouldn't be embarrassingly overemotional or anything. So much so that I was caught completely off guard when I kind of burst into tears the second I saw him marching into the hall in his cap and gown while Pomp and Circumstance was playing. I'm not even sure how to describe it. I'm not sure there are words to describe it. I remember when he was an infant, looking at his little face and thinking about this day and not even being able to wrap my head around the idea that this teeny tiny creature would even be walking and talking someday...much less be a young adult headed off to college. But somehow, there he is.

Before I start crying again, I give you a story that will never not be funny. So we went to see Iron Man 2 couple days ago. And, I don't think it is a spoiler to say that there is at least one scene which features much advanced technology, shit blowing up, and RDJ flying around in an Iron Man suit. It was during one such scene that two older ladies wandered into the theater, looking very perplexed, sat down near us and loudly asked "IS THIS SEX AND THE CITY?"....right as another piece of advanced technology goes BOOM on the very large screen. No, no...I'm sorry, it's really not.

Eleventy Project update. It is doubtful a vid will appear before I get back. I got my return dates wrong and I will be flying home on Friday, not Sunday...however it is unlikely I'll be able to pull anything together before Saturday afternoon. So, either this two-parter will be skipped entirely or I'll be doing two next week. I'm a bit disappointed at how that shook out, but far more glad I am able to be here right now.
