vid recs

The post-VVC crash is here with a vengeance. I have been actively social for the last two weeks straight and I am so very done. I'm going to hide under my bed now and not come out for a month. I still want to do a write up about Lum's color panel at some point because it has eaten my brain with the awesome. And I have a ton of vid recs to do, but I am on such vid overload that the thought of doing any serious amount of rewatching right now is just beyond me. It was such a consistently solid year all the way through that if you want to just go rummaging through the playlists being posted on vividcon, the odds of you stumbling on a fantastic vid without any pointers are really high.

I can throw out a couple of vids that are making me ridiculously happy,

Strength In You, by heresluck (Gilmore Girls). Hugs, hugs, hugs, and then? More hugs. Lorelai and Rory BFF, indeed. This vid is just a joyful celebration of a mother and daughter bond that is happy making on so many levels. Did I mention the hugs? And the pink sparkly heart that is JUST FOR ME OMG.

Gloria, by sweetestdrain (Sarah Connor Chronicles). Lesbian robot porn FTW!!! There is so much I love about this vid, and not just because it is hotter than a forest fire. Which it is. Hot. Good god is it ever hot. Thinkier brains than I have discussed this vid at length. I'm just going to point and flail.

Shut Up And Drive, by laurashapiro (Doctor Who). Did you know Martha Jones is awesome? Because if you didn't, I would like to present the evidence right here. I love Martha, and I love Laura for making this vid.

Good, by jarrow (Hairspray). So much fun. OMG so much fun. Sometimes you just gotta dance, man, and this vid makes me bounce and squee and do that thing where I shuffle lamely and call it dancing. But that's okay because everyone in the vid can dance. And they do. \o/

Housewarming!

It is done! I am now officially all moved to my new web home, and I've updated all my LJ post links and whatnot, so my vids are back online (for now the vidlets are not up until I decide what to do with them). Yay!
