I will have deeper thoughts later, for now all I've got is
Amy Pond, hottest pirate ever or hottest pirate ever? And then there were pirates IN SPACE. I'm still working out whether or not that makes any sense at all and mostly concluding that when it comes to the fact of PIRATES IN SPACE I don't actually care if it does because THE PIRATES. ARE IN SPACE. Yes, I really am that easily pleased.
Also, Rory is now officially the Daniel Jackson of Doctor Who. That's three deaths in a season and change. Four if you count the fakeout death of last week. This has actually made me far more confident about his future safety than ever, because it's now just a personality quirk. Like how he sometimes stammers, except sometimes he dies.

Also, I need to make a macro of Rory from this episode that says "OMG, they killed Rory! You bastards!" on it. (I actually made ones from Amy's Choice and the Silurian two-parter last year. Because I'm a terrible person, but it still makes me laugh.)
