I am safely arrived in Maryland, woo! Thankfully the kid has not gotten much taller since the last time I saw him. Flight went okay, although I got tagged for the special search. Which, last laugh to me because in order to save quarters I packed my dirty laundry so I could wash it for free here. Also, you can take lighters on planes now? I found this out because I forgot I had one in my pocket and when I tried to give it up, they gave it back. I am baffled. Of all the weird ass restrictions that's the only one that ever made sense to me. How does shampoo or a bottle of juice represent a greater threat than things that MAKE FIRE? And now I nap, because 6 am flights are evil, evil, evil. But I get to nap with my dog! Who I have not seen in over a year (he could not come with me to Chicago because he does not do well with apartment living). And he remembered me right away, and there was much tummy scratching and tail thumping and there will be much more. He's pushing 16 (boy and dog are the same age exactly), so I worry now that every time I see him might be the last. Quality doggie cuddling is in order.
So, I will be here for the next ten days and I have access to email and such, so feel free to give me a holler if you are local, any time.
